On 23 September 2023, our Junior Band again competed in the WBOPBBA Regional Competition, this time in Cambridge. They came second in the D Grade Ensemble event!
Meet Our Award-Winning Junior Band!
Our junior band won the Primary School Ensemble award at the 2022 Waikato Bay of Plenty Brass Band Contest in Tauranga! Hopefully this will be the first of many awards and competitions.
They embarked on a tour of Hauraki schools on Friday 25 November 2022. They visited Ngatea Primary School, Netherton School, Turua School and Kerepehi School.
The junior band practices on Tuesday afternoons at 4.45pm at the band hall in Kerepehi, excluding school holidays. We are extremely lucky to have Hamilton-based music teacher Clive Burnell teaching our juniors.
